Terms & conditions.

Thank you for choosing Woodbury Kennels Ltd for your K9 companion. Before we can accept your booking, we do require that you agree and understand our terms and conditions:

Vaccinations: All dogs must be fully vaccinated and up to date covering the following: Parvo Virus, Distemper, Hepatitis (Vanguard 5) every 2 years and both Lepto and Kennel cough annually, and not more recently than 7 days.  As a dog owner please understand that due to the many strains of Kennel Cough (KC), there is always a risk that your dog can still contract a strain not inclusive of the vaccine.  KC is highly contagious.  Woodbury Kennels Ltd follow strict hygiene requirements and have large open, well-ventilated areas to minimise exposure and therefore will not accept any liability should your dog acquire KC during its stay here.  We would expect that all dogs are wormed, and flea treated.  If this is missed, we will administer this treatment and any costs incurred will be passed onto the owner.  Due to our property being a working cattle and deer farm prior to our occupancy, we also recommend that you choose a flea treatment that will protect against Ticks.

Desexing requirements:                                                                                                                                                                                                             All dogs must be well socialised.  Male dogs must be de-sexed after the age of 8 months, and female dogs cannot be "on heat".  PLEASE NOTE, WE WILL NOT ACCOMMODATE PUPPIES UNDER THE AGE OF 6 MONTHS.  Dogs not toilet trained or incontinent will incur a 10% daily surcharge during peak periods.

Canine Welfare while in our care:                                                                                                                                                                                             During your dog’s stay our staff will take utmost care in the welfare of your dog.  However, we do run in packs – these are compiled of dogs of similar size, nature and energy levels.  Dogs can be boisterous and excitable, and there are risks of injury to your dog during play and exercise.  Our exercise areas are large farm paddocks and contained yards. Woodbury Kennels Ltd will not accept responsibility or liability, or costs outside of our control.  Should a dog become injured or ill during their stay with us, and the need arise for Veterinary Care resulting in any fees, then these will be 100% payable by the dog’s owner.  Although we will take the utmost care to minimise any stressful or tense situations, there is always the possibility of a scrap. In this event any incurred costs both medical and or material damage is to be covered by the owner of the instigating dog.  You, as the dog’s owner, acknowledge and agree to not hold Woodbury Kennels, its staff or representatives liable for any injury/loss/death or sickness of your dog while in the care of Woodbury Kennels.

Additional Veterinary Care:                                                                                                                                                                                                Should your dog require follow-up veterinary consultation on a pre-existing medical condition then we are happy to accommodate this, and an additional $25 traveling fee will be charged to visit our local Vets – Vets North Kumeu or their emergency care provider.  Should your dog need to seek follow-up veterinary consultation with your regular vet outside our immediate area, then a minimum $50 travel fee will be charged and must be pre-arranged prior to your booking being accepted.  By accepting these terms and conditions, you as the dog’s owner acknowledge that we “Woodbury Kennels Ltd” take no responsibility for any existing ailments your dog may have, both diagnosed or undiagnosed.  If any condition occurs to your dog/s, he/she will be referred to your veterinarian or Vets North Kumeu (or their appointed emergency backup provider), in which case, although we hope for the best, we are not liable for any outcome.
